This time last week there was a wonderful event held in Buderim for the summer ‘Gathered‘ Twilight Market.
Just like the Spring market the atmosphere was warm, friendly and encompassed a real feeling of community. This event is put together by two passionate small business owners Michael from Cafe Vie and Sarah from The Botanical Collective. This seasonal artisan market is growing each and every time it’s held and keeps getting better and better.
The regions makers, crafters and creators all came together to showcase their small businesses including many of our favourite Family Eco Life directory brands; Seeds for Tomorrow, Little Merchants, Solitude Body + Skin, Sanctuary Designs Ceramics , Organic Nights and Jarrah Skin sharing their beautiful products with conscious consumers from around the Sunshine Coast.
The lovely and creative Jasmin from ‘My Little Party Hire‘ had her children’s party set up looking absolutely gorgeous. If you have a special birthday planned for next year I highly recommend trying to make it along to the next ‘Gathered’ market to see the beautiful display in person and chat to Jasmin about what’s possible in the world of plastic free party planning.
Sarah from The Botanical Collective hosted creative families with Christmas craft sessions throughout the afternoon featuring dried flowers, natural clay, seeds and leaves.
I was also super excited to see the amazingly talented Stacey from Maple & Sage along for the afternoon sharing her delicious raw vegan donuts – if you haven’t tried these yet do yourself a favour and treat yourself. I keep telling people these are the best on the Coast and can’t wait to see what the Christmas menu includes.
Along with fantastic food from Cafe Vie and great tunes from local band ‘The Coasters’ the market also brought several new businesses to the gathering (too many to name!). I really loved seeing the Bamboo play set-up in action from Explore Nook, check this out if you’re still after a eco-friendly gift for your toddlers and pre-schoolers, I know Noah is going to love this and enjoy hours of fun stacking, rolling & building!
As always Michelle from ‘Calf Rescue’ had her adorable baby goats ready for snuggles – Michelle and her partner are doing such amazing work with their rescue farm and are in need of support, so if you’re looking to give a gift of kindness this year check them out as all donation are greatly appreciated.
I didn’t get around to all the stalls but here are a few pics of those that I had a chance to chat too.
Stay tuned for the next ‘Gathered’ market in 2020!
