RICKY DEE’S ECO TOYS
People are aware of the toxic impact plastics can have on children and our planet. We design and create by hand, natural, eco toys that delight all ages, last generations and are kind to developing minds, bodies and the planet.
Ricky Dee’s Eco Toys offers an abundant selection of toys from the earth for the earth. Our timbers are perfectly imperfect resulting in our opportunity to rescue rather than the wood pile they were destined for. Fairies and elves rejoice at the 6 foot tinkering human in his shed. Ricky Dee’s Eco Toys have delighted childcare centres, educators and Grandparents alike with their naturally tactile toys enhancing play and displays. If you can imagine it, Rick can make it! From tiny gumnut tea cups to Rapunzel’s tower or the ultimate eco dolls house.
Ricky Dee’s Eco Toys was a happy accident or SERENDIPITY when our daughter asked us to make her branch furniture and Rick made a tiny gum nut kettle.
We are Australian designers & artisan eco toy makers. Our whole family have been involved over time, drawing, designing, making and posting to people all over Australia. We make over 100 designs and are always adding to our collection. We make one of a kind keepsakes to customer specifications. We delight in their delight at receiving our wares. We make people smile. We are thrilled when we help families connect to nature. We are always looking for ways to help children value nature.
Unlike other eco toy shops in Australia who import wooden eco toys and thus have a higher Carbon footprint, we make our toys and gifts ourselves, here in our shed and home on our property in SE Qld. We are big believers of re-purposing, recycling and rethinking. We try to walk the eco talk: we have solar, water tanks, a veggie patch, & land for wildlife. We are not perfect at it but we try. We often use the courier Sendle who are Carbon neutral.
For all purchases over $50, one Australia Native Tree is planted as a thank you to you and the Earth for the wonderful gifts shared. We are members of Land for Wildlife, ANARRA (Australian Native Animal Rescue Rehabilitation Association) and registered with Wildlife South East Queensland as a possible wildlife release site.
