SANCTUARY DESIGNS CERAMICS
Working with clay is my creative outlet, how I practice mindfulness and how I play. Time is no factor in my little home studio in the rainforest of the Sunshine Coast. Quite the contrast to my other profession, Emergency Nursing where chaos and time pressures are a daily occurance.
My pieces are mostly created on the potters wheel (my favourite part of the ceramic process), and made with passion in small batches; meaning each is unique to that time of creation.
All pieces are functional and durable so they can be enjoyed everyday.
As someone who is forever curious and loves learning new skills I started exploring ceramics and fell obsessed with the ancient art. Perfect mix of science, art and a little magic. My style is still ever changing as I explore different techniques and styles.
All packing is plastic free, and uses recycled and sustainably sourced paper. My mail service strive to be 100% carbon neutral. My home’s solar panels offsets my electric kiln.
